12-4 Reveling: Babylon Is Fallen

Revelation 18: 9-10

We're reveling in our success. 

Yup, we're golden.

But kind of vain, right?

There was a lofty ship and she put out to sea,
And the name of our ship was the Golden Vanity.

Well, we had not been out more than two weeks or three
Til we were overtaken by the Turkish Reveilee.

French imperative: Reveillez-vous: Wake up!

Yup, I hope I'm woke!

And the kings of the earth, who had committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning (Revelation 18:9).

Her may refer to Babylon, Rome, Das Kapital, or the oligarchy (Facebook, Tesla, Amazon).

By another way of thinking, Babylon the fallen whore is the Earth itself.

The Earth destroyed by all our rapey reveling.

So, who are we, then?--

White men.

12-3 Quietness: The Comforter Has Come

Blessed Quietness , Manie Payne Ferguson, 1897 1 Chronicles 22:9-10 Joys are flowing like a river since the Comforter has come, who abides with us forever, makes the trusting heart a home. I just need to turn off my thoughts for my heart to be trusting, to feel the Comforter inside me. And especially turn off the news and stop looking at Facebook!
